Ukrainian Ambassador to Canada Andriy Shevchenko has reported the Lower House of the Parliament of Canada has ratified the free trade agreement with Ukraine.

The Ambassador tweeted that the approval was a sign of solidarity and support for Ukraine, adding that deal was yet to be supported by the Senate and signed by Canada’s Governor General.

The Verkhovna Rada's ratification is also required.
