Palestinian embroidery is one of the outstanding phenomena of folk art. Each district, the city has developed its own style, a set of patterns and colors.

National women's costume is rich and diverse. On it you can judge about the economic, family situation of a woman, her area of ​​residence. The main costume is a dress (jilabia). For the costume of unmarried girls are characterized by blue tones, if about a suit of married ladies - bright colors and rich embroidery. The ornament is a stylized vegetative-geometric pattern. Head Passenger women cover a shawl (hijab).

In the past, the wardrobe of the woman included the following main elements:

• Kufia or Hitta: a piece of silk or some other matter that pounced on the head and was tied with a handkerchief.

• Bushnut or Buchnuk: a handkerchief bordered with floral ornament. On top of this shawl usually threw Shaw (Tarkha, Fish) resembling a silk or woolen scarf.

• Izar: a blanket made of white linen or pure cotton, Khabar replaced him;

• Khabar: a cover made of silk, usually black, although other colors might have been; She was fastened on a chest with a threaded lace, so that the upper part covered her shoulders, and at the bottom she expanded like a skirt.

• Mutilating: it resembles the Khabar in color and matter, but actually it is a cloak, because it has sleeves, in addition, a cape with a hood (Burnus) reaching to the waist is applied to it.
