Separation of forces and means in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska on both sides is the first step towards permanent ceasefire. It was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky.

"I believe this is the first step towards permanent ceasefire throughout the delimitation line, which took place due to the unblocking of the Minsk process. I understand that only time and concrete steps can confirm to everyone that the parties fulfill their obligations. I do not want to promise peace tomorrow, but there is a fragile hope for the beginning of the end of the hot phase of war," the Head of State stressed in his video address.

Volodymyr Zelensky also called on the citizens not to give in to provocations and panic, and to let the military and diplomats do their difficult job.

"Let us keep calm. This is not a "treason". Unfortunately, this is not a victory so far as well. But this is our first small success, in my opinion. Congratulations," the President addressed Ukrainians.

It bears reminding that the completion of separation of forces and means in the area of Stanytsia Luhanska was confirmed by the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission.
