Ukrainian president : powerful army is a priority

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky called the development of a powerful and combat capable army a priority and set a task before the leadership of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine to develop a Defense Plan.

“A powerful combat capable army is a priority. Minister of Defense Andriy Zahorodniuk should put forward legislative amendments necessary for building a powerful army,” Volodymyr Zelensky said in a meeting with the leadership of the Verkhovna Rada, the Cabinet of Ministers and the law enforcement bodies.

The President also instructed to develop and approve a Defense Plan containing a set of measures to protect Ukraine from aggression.
