Ukrainian Education Minister: we will change system of financing higher education
The Education and Science Ministry intends to change the system of financing higher education institutions.
Education and Science Minister Hanna Novosad said this in an interview with the Ukrayinska Pravda online newspaper.
"By changing the system of financing and management, we want to start stimulating higher education institutions for development. By the end of the year, we will submit some projects to change the system of financing, state-funded places in universities based on quality indicators. In particular, we want the financing of universities be based on the employment indicators of their graduates, the quality of the university's research activities, their positions in international rankings etc,” she said.
She has also added that the ministry plans to introduce a system that will reward the best professors and lecturers according to their results.
