Ukraine in Arabic | Ukraine and Egypt expand cooperation
Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ In the first half of 2015, the foreign trade turnover between Ukraine and Egypt amounted to more than 600 million dollars.
According to the Minister of agrarian policy and food of Ukraine Oleksiy Pavlenko, our country and Egypt to strengthen cooperation in agriculture. He stated this at a meeting with Minister of agriculture of Egypt by Salaheddine Gillam during a working visit to Egypt. Today the Arab Republic of Egypt is an important and promising trade and economic partner of Ukraine.
A joint Commission on economic and scientific-technical cooperation is the cooperation between Ukraine and the Arab Republic of Egypt. Alex Pavlenko is the Chairman of the Ukrainian part of the Commission.
This year, Egypt exported Ukrainian products totaling 567,8 million. Of these, grain cereals on 415.9 million dollars, some vegetable oil in 68.7 million dollars. Also in 2015, began exporting animals to 7.3 million dollars, butter 3.1 million dollars, the products of processing fruits and vegetables – 0.5 million dollars. Foreign trade turnover between Ukraine and Egypt amounted to more than 600 million USD in the first half of 2015.
During the working visit, the parties discussed the importance of opening a new channel of the Suez canal for the development of the agricultural sector of both countries. Special attention was paid to the prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and Egypt in the agricultural sector.
As noted Oleksiy Pavlenko, the country is ready to establish regular supply of agricultural, food and other products in the Arab Republic of Egypt. Primarily grain, livestock products, as well as sunflower oil and dairy products. To date, Ukraine and Egypt have significant potential for expansion of cooperation in the field of industrial cooperation.
