Ukraine in Arabic | The first private airport opened in Saudi Arabia

In the city of Medina, in Saudi Arabia, opened the first in the Kingdom's private airport, known as the Prince Mohamed bin Abdul Aziz.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ In the city of Medina, in Saudi Arabia, opened the first in the Kingdom's private airport, known as the Prince Mohamed bin Abdul Aziz.

The airport was built in response to the need of reception of the increasing quantity of pilgrims. Every year about 2 million people to perform Hajj visit to Mecca and Medina, the newspaper notes. Therefore, in order to remove the load from the main air gate of the city of Medina, the state supported the idea of business is to build another airport.

In 2011, law on construction and partial operation of the airport received a consortium comprising Saudi and Turkish companies.

After the opening of the Medina will be able to take much more visitors, while last year the figure was 5.7 million, now you can count to 8 million tourists. It is worth noting that in the new airport has invested $1 billion, and manage specified by the consortium will be jointly with the Department of civil aviation of Saudi Arabia under the tutelage of which are 27 air gates throughout the country.
