Ukraine in Arabic | The conference of tolerance took place in Kiev

More than 20 speakers were invited by organizers of the event, including the Ambassador of Palestine in Ukraine Mohammad al-Asaad.

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On November 13th, Conference on ‘Tolerance as a basis of consolidation of civil society in Ukraine’ was held in Kiev. The event is timed to the International Day of Tolerance, traditionally celebrated on November 16th.

The event was organized by Diplomatic Academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine, public councils of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ministry of Culture and Kyiv Regional State Administration, Ukrainian National Committee of the International Chamber of Commerce, The Art Creative civil organization and The International Fund for Cultural Cooperation.

The conference was held in the premises of the Diplomatic Academy of Ukraine.

More than 20 speakers were invited by organizers of the event, including the Ambassador of Palestine in Ukraine Mohammad al-Asaad.

The main issues addressed were formed as follows:

-          Tolerance as an instrument of national policy: a view of the authorities on ways to ensure unity and peace in the Ukraine;

-          Tolerance as a form of mutual influence of cultures in the field of tourism, sports, arts, science and education;

-          Tolerance as a factor of mutual enrichment of cultures and providing intercultural dialogue, respect for differences of peoples, the preservation of peace and prosperity;

-          Tolerance as social capital in contemporary society: the practice of interaction and educational technology;
