Ukraine in Arabic | Russia to sell weapons worth 15 billion USD this year
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Russia plans to sell weapons and military hardware worth USD 15 billion this year.
That's according to the chief of Russia's state-run weapons dealer, which showcased the Kremlin's plans during an international defence exhibition in Abu Dhabi.
Anatoly Isaikin said, "the plan for the export of armaments worth about USD 15 billion this year will undoubtedly be fulfilled."
Russia's weapons sales - which are similar to last year's total - come despite Western sanctions on its military interests.
The US and EU are considering ramping up sanctions on Moscow over the Kremlin's continued provision of weapons to militants in east Ukraine.
Last year 130 countries agreed an arms proliferation treaty, but Moscow chose not to sign up
