The Senate of the Netherlands will debate ratification of of the Ukraine-EU Association Agreement
Consideration of ratification is on the agenda of the plenary session, according to Europeiska Pravda.
According to the agenda, the consideration of the Ukrainian issue will begin at 13:45 local time (14:45 Kyiv time). Representatives of various political forces have 2 hours and 30 minutes to present their positions.
It is expected that Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and Foreign Minister Bert Kunders will attend the plenary debate. The debate on May 23 precedes the vote, which is expected to take place in a week, on May 30. Sources of the Europeiska Pravda in the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry expect that the majority of Senate deputies will support the ratification of the Association Agreement.
The approval of ratification in the Senate remains the last legislative step that will unblock the official launch of the Ukraine-EU association.
