For the first time since independence, the minimum wage in Ukraine in dollar terms exceeded the "minimum wage" in Russia and Belarus.
According to BusinessCensor, Deputy Minister of Economic Development, Trade and Agriculture Sergey Nikolaychuk announced this on his Facebook page.

“For the first time in many years, the minimum wage in Ukraine has outstripped the similar figures in Russia and Belarus. So, from January 1, the minimum wage in Ukraine increased to UAH 4,723, or $ 199 in equivalent at the rate at the beginning of the year,” Nikolaychuk said.

So, in Ukraine, the minimum wage from January 1, 2020 is UAH 4,723, in the Russian Federation - 12,130 rubles, which at official rates of the NBU and the Central Bank of the Russian Federation as of January 1 is $ 199.4 and $ 195.9 respectively.

At the same time, in Belarus the minimum wage is 375 Belarusian rubles.

The deputy minister said that the gap with Belarus (the minimum wage since January 1, 2020 is $ 177.74) is almost $ 22 in favor of Ukraine.

In euros, the minimum wage in Ukraine is 178.75 euros, in Russia - 174.84 euros, and in Belarus - 159.29 euros
