The heat wave has killed 61 people in Egypt

More than 60 people were killed in Egypt over the past three days from sun strokes or heart attacks obtained from the intense heat that prevails in recent weeks in the region. Extreme high temperatures were established in most provinces of the country.

"For the last days because of the extremely high temperature in Egypt died 21 persons, therefore, only in the past four days the total number of deaths due to the steady hot weather reached 61", - Ahram Online quoted a statement by the Ministry of health of Egypt.  The vast majority of victims of deadly heat - residents of Cairo.

In this metropolis, which is considered one of the most environmentally unfriendly cities in the world, on the eve of the day was registered 10 deaths due to sunstroke. 

According to Ministry of health, across the country hospitalized 581 people. Most of the casualties from the heat - elderly Egyptians. 

Doctors say that hot weather is aggravated by high humidity, which also reached these days a record for the country indicators. In the last few days, the thermometer in most of the Egyptian regions does not fall below 40 degrees, and in the southern provinces of the country the temperature reaches 50 degrees Celsius.
