Russia ready to talks about gas with Ukraine

"We are ready to meet in the first half of September. We also have a certain schedule, a monitoring committee in Abu Dhabi and other events. We should appoint the date so that everyone has an opportunity to meet," Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak told reporters, the Interfax Russian news agency reports.

Earlier, European Commission’s Vice-President for the Energy Union Maroš Šefčovič proposed holding a trilateral meeting between September 16 and 23.

"We have a proposal from the European Commission’s Vice-President, Maroš Šefčovič, to meet on September 16. Perhaps, it will be some other date. We will discuss. I think this will be agreed in the near future," Novak said.
