New anti-record: more than 1960 cases of COVID-19 in Ukraine per day
As of the morning of August 19, a new COVID-19 anti-record was recorded in Ukraine: 1,967 cases of coronavirus were confirmed over the past day.
This is evidenced by the data of the monitoring system of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.
Another 28 people died during the day. At the same time, 812 patients recovered.
Most of all new cases were found: in Kharkiv region (247), Kiev (215), Lviv region (188), Ivano-Frankivsk region (163), Chernivtsi region (154), Rivne region (125), Odessa region (123), Transcarpathian region (117), Ternopil region (99).
Since the beginning of the epidemic in Ukraine, 96 thousand 403 cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed: 2,144 people have died, 49,737 have recovered.
It is worth noting that the previous anti-record was recorded as of Saturday, August 15. Then it was reported about 1,847 new cases per day.
