Head of the Central Election Commission is ready and able to perform functions for the conduct of early parliamentary elections The election campaign of the parliamentary elections scheduled for July 21 starts on May 24, but the CEC "has a number of issues" on the law.
"The CEC's official position is that today, on May 23, after the publication of the decree on the early termination of the powers of the Verkhovna Rada and the appointment of early parliamentary elections, the election process of early parliamentary elections starts from the day following publication, i.e. from May 24, 2019, without the CEC making a separate decision on its launch," Head of the Central Election Commission said at a briefing on May 23.
She is ready and able to perform functions for the conduct of early parliamentary elections.
