Cabinet allows privatization of up to 50% of shares of Naftogaz, Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrposhta

It is proposed to add to this list the state enterprises "Document", "Printing Plant" Ukraine "for the production of securities", "Kyiv Offset Factory", CB "Southern".

The Cabinet of Ministers on Wednesday intends to consider a bill on the list of 188 companies banned from privatization. 

This is evidenced by the agenda of the government meeting, reports Interfax-Ukraine.

According to the text of the bill, the government allows the privatization of up to 50% of the shares of Naftogaz, Ukrzaliznytsia and Ukrposhta, but proposes to keep the state 100% of corporate rights in NNEGC "Energoatom", PJSC "Ukrhydroenergo", NEK , SE "Eastern Mining and Processing Plant", the Administration of Seaports of Ukraine (AMPU).

It is also proposed to include SE "Market Operator" and SE "Guaranteed Buyer", created by the Cabinet of Ministers in 2019 to ensure the operation of the new electricity market, in the list of facilities completely prohibited for privatization.

In addition, it is proposed to add to this list the state enterprises "Document", "Printing Plant" Ukraine "for the production of securities", "Kyiv Offset Factory", CB "Southern".

According to the explanatory note, the government bill provides for four groups of objects prohibited for privatization.

In the first - joint-stock companies, in the authorized capital of which the share of corporate rights owned by the state may not be less than 50% + 1 share and is not subject to privatization.

In the second - joint stock companies in which the share of state-owned corporate rights is 100%.
