Ukraine in Arabic | The Legacy of Islamic civilization exhibition held in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On January 23rd, at the first time in Ukraine The Legacy of Islamic civilization exhibition was held in The Ukrainian House national Center for business and cultural cooperation. The posters to mark scientific discoveries of the Muslim world, the history of the construction of the first Ar-Rahma Kiev mosque, family tree of all the Prophets, as well as pictures of world’s mosques were presented as exhibits there.
There were also national costumes and antique household items of Muslim nations such as Azeris, Chechens, Turkmens, Afghans, Uzbeks, Pakistanis, Dagestan and others.
The event was attended by diplomats, representatives of government, Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims, national diasporas, scientific and educational organizations, and others.
Head of the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims Sheikh Akhmed Tamim said that the exhibition of Islamic legacy aims to acquaint the Ukrainian community with a rich cultural heritage of the Muslim peoples.
“We are part of Ukrainian society, and despite that we have different ideas and languages, we are united and can always find a common denominator for sake of strengthening the Ukrainian society and state”, - said the Mufti of Ukraine.
