Ukraine in Arabic | Ukrainian Parliament expressed the honor to Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On November 18th, Ukrainian government has expressed its unprecedented honors to the Muslim community at the meeting between the head of Ukraine’s parliament (Verkhovna Rada) Oleksandr Turchynov at his office in Kiev.
The meeting was also attended by members of the parliamentary committees and representatives of the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU).
Oleksandr Turchynov drew attention to the important role played by DUMUas a national religious organization in spreading the ideas of love, moderation and integration in Ukrainian society. Speaker of the Parliament also noted the positive DUMU’s activity both inside and outside the country.
Tamim Akhmed expressed his gratitude for the reception by the Ukrainian parliament and its speaker, stressing the need for full cooperation between the government and all national and religious organizations and leaders.
Oleksandr Turchynov also expressed his honor to the head of foreign relations department Sheikh Khusameddin Al-Khalavani.
Head of the Verkhovna Rada rewarded Akhmed Tamim and Khusameddin Al-Khalavani with diplomas.
DUMU plays an important role in the maintenance of national peace in Ukraine; Sheikh Akhmed Tamim is one of the most respected national and spiritual leaders in our country.
