Ukraine in Arabic | The value of women in Islam outlined in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On February 18th, a conference on subject ‘The value of women in Islam’ was organized by Women's Committee at the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU).
The event was dated to the holiday of Mawlid - the birth of the Prophet Muhammad.
The conference was attended by representatives of various women's international, civil and governmental organizations.
Conference participants made presentations on current topics such as the status of women in Islam, their role and tasks in society.
“The role of Muslim women in the world not limited only taking care of the house and the children. The responsible of raising children at the family lies on both parents. An ignorant woman will raise ignorant children”, the director of an international company, a lawyer Zhanna Huseinova said.
According to the DUMU Women's Committee’s activist Leila Khasaeva, the family in Islam and woman takes a worthy position in the family.
She stressed that the man is entrusted with higher requirements, he dominates in the family relations, but it does not infringe upon the rights of women, either morally or financially.
Participants also discussed issues concerning the cooperation of women's organizations and optimization of collaboration aimed at the development of the family and society, educating the younger generation and others.
“Religious Administration familiarizes society with Islam. There are representatives of the extremes who oblige women not only cover the face, but also wear gloves. Islam is innocent of extremes. Islam is innocent of the oppression of women”, summed up the Mufti of Ukraine and head of the DUMU Sheikh Akhmed Tamim.
