Ukraine in Arabic | The Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim appealed to Ukrainian people on the occasion of Independence Day
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ The Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim addressed the Ukrainian people, noting that our country on its way to development went through many difficult moments. In the current situation of Ukraine Sheikh called everybody to unite and overcome it together.
"I urge you to unite basing on goodness and mutual assistance. Only working hard we will build a prosperous state without strife and disturbance. This is only the way to preserve the integrity of Ukraine and make it rich, developed and economically stable" he said.
Mufti also called to take wise and weighed decisions to resolve the current crisis "for the sake of our development and for the sake of our children". We must build a prosperous, strong state, which has a big impact to the whole world.
In conclusion Mufti asked the Almighty Creator for peace and goodness for Ukraine and its people. "I wish this hard situation to be finished as soon as possible. Let always be peace and triumph of justice in our country", Mufti said.
On the Day of Independence of Ukraine, 24 of August, Akhmed Tamim with representatives of other faiths also attended the parade at the center of the Kiev.
A day earlier, on August 23, Mufti has taken part in the prayer for Ukraine, held at St. Sophia Cathedral in the presence of Ukrainian President Poroshenko, ex-President Leonid Kuchma, Leonid Kravchuk, Viktor Yushchenko and other dignitaries.
