Ukraine in Arabic | The Al-Azhar University and DUMU to implement an egreement on cooperation in the field of education and science

DUMU and its educational institutions annually hosted many delegates, professors, researchers in the framework of cooperation agreements and scientific and cultural exchanges with religious institutions and Islamic centers in many countries, especially in the Arab Republic of Egypt.

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ The guest from The Al-Azhar University, prof. Sheikh Akhmed al-Abashiri arrived to the capital of Ukraine on the invitation of the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU). The visit is carried out in the framework of cooperation and continuous coordination between the religious institutions of Egypt led by The Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, The Dar al-Ifta (governance ruling on religious and legal issues) and Ministry of Awqaf of Egypt on the one hand and DUMU and the Islamic University in Ukraine - on the other.

This is not the first visit of the representatives of the Egyptian clergy to Ukraine. DUMU a lot of times hosted high-ranking envoys from The Al-Azhar Al-Sharif, who supervised the basic education curriculum for students of preparatory and secondary levels of Shariah Institute of the Islamic University of Ukraine.

According to the head of the DUMU’s Department of Foreign Relations Sheikh Khusameddin Al-Khalavani, this scientific and practical cooperation between Ukraine and Egypt is the result of the implementation of agreements between the Islamic institutions of the two countries and the strategic vision of the Supreme Imam Sheikh Akhmed Tayeb and the Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim. The Al-Azhar propagandizes the strategy of moderation and kindness all over the world. It reflects the true Islam and the knowledge of Sunni Islam, which are the path of Muslim community.

The honorable guest from Egypt was hosted by the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt Usama Badr. He congratulated Sheikh and said that he fulfills an important mission of educating and spreading the dogmas of Islam among the younger generation.

In addition, Sheikh Ahmad Al-Abashiri met with Egyptian Diaspora of Ukraine headed by its leadern Walid Atiya. The Egyptians were eager to meet with Sheikh and offered their assistance to him. The meeting took place in a warm atmosphere of friendship and love.
