Ukraine in Arabic | Oil prices dropped by 1%

Thursday, may 14, Americans have reduced the volume of oil refining. The price of the oil basket (OPEC Reference Basket of crudes) fell 0.64 per dollar, or 1%, to 63,13 dollars per barrel with 63,77 dollar in the previous trading day.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ This is stated in the message of international intergovernmental organizations on opec.org. Yet another price reduction was data on the reduction of volumes of oil refining in the U.S., reports Bloomberg.

According to the office for information in the field of energy (EIA), the use of refining capacity in the U.S. for the week ending may 8, down 1.8%, the biggest drop since January.

This despite the fact that oil reserves remain in the U.S. more than 100 million barrels above the average for this time of year over the past five years, the volume of production in the U.S. is close to a record high. The current average price for a barrel in may is 63,15 dollar, in 2015, the 53.21 USD. Last year the average price oil "baskets" made 96,29 dollar against 105,87 dollars per barrel in 2013.

The price "baskets" has dropped below $ 100 in September of 2014 and amounted then 95,98 dollars per barrel. In 2012, the average price of a "basket" made 109,45 dollars per barrel, in 2011 107,46 dollars, in 2010 — 77,45 dollar. Record price "baskets" was established on the 3rd July 2008 — 140,73 dollars per barrel.
