Ukraine in Arabic | Official delegation from the Chechen Republic met with the Mufti of Ukraine
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On March 4th, state delegation of the Chechen Republic, including Minister of Education and Science of the Chechen Republic Anzor Muzaev, head of the press service of the Chechen President Alvi Karimov, President of the Writers Union of the Chechen Republic Kanta Ibragimov, met with the Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim. During the meeting, the guests noted the contribution of the Mufti of Ukraine in strengthening friendly relations between Ukraine and Chechen Republic and highly appreciated the work of DUMU’s head to counter the spread of extremism, both in Ukraine and in the Caucasus.
According to Muzaev, Chechen side is interested in the development of training manuals on religion with DUMU working group. Muzaev noted the experience of the Chechen Republic in this regard. He said that Chechen students studying such subjects as ‘Fundamentals of Islam’ and ‘Basis of religions’.
In turn, the Mufti of Ukraine told how DUMU counters the spread of extremist movements such as Wahhabism, Hizb ut-Tahrir, Jamaat al-Islamiyya, and so on. Also he told how DUMU prepares teachers of Islamic religion in view of the multinational nature of Ukrainian society, Islamic ethics programs for secular schools of Ukraine, Arabic language courses, the development of standardized training programs for imams. Akhmed Tamim also noted that Ramzan Kadyrov is an example of the leader for all peoples of the Caucasus.
