Ukraine in Arabic | Mawlid in The Ar-Rahma mosque (foto)
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On January 18th, an event dedicated to birth of the Prophet Muhammad – Mawlid Sharif – was held in The Ar-Rahma Kiev mosque.
The Legacy of Islamic civilization exhibition was carried out within the celebration. Traditional national costumes of the Eastern peoples, samples of ancient manuscripts of the Quran and the Prophet Muhammad relic’s photos from around the world have become the most popular exhibits. There were a letter with the stamp of the Prophet, banner of the Prophet from Istanbul, his shirt, turban from Pakistan, and the hair of the Prophet, which were found in many countries around the world.
The event was attended by Palestinian Ambassador Mohammed al-Assad, the Mufti of Crimea Ridwan Veliev, representatives of the Azerbaijani and Uzbek diaspora as well as the head of the Religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims the Mufti of Ukraine, Sheikh Akhmed Tamim.
Between performances throughout the ceremonial part Crimean vocal ensemble "Salam", children's ensemble of The Al-Irshad School and Tatar ensemble "Miras" performed Madihas (religious songs).
