Ukraine in Arabic | Holodomor victims of 1932-1933 was honored in Kiev
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On November 22nd, a memorial event dedicated to the victims of the Ukrainian Holodomor 1932-1933 was held in the capital of Ukraine.
The event was attended by the President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko, Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk, the mayor of Kiev Vitali Klitschko, Commissioner for the Crimean Tatars Mustafa Dzhemilyov, representatives of the Ukrainian clergy, including Patriarch of Kyiv and All Rus-Ukraine Filaret and Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim.
Akhmed Tamim said that all Ukrainian Muslims grieves for souls of innocents who died during the Holodomor. He also noted that Muslims of Ukraine, together with representatives of other faiths work hard to make that terrible act of genocide, made by Soviet regime against Ukrainian people, never be repeated.
