The struggle and victory over terrorism are the duties of the religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU).

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Egyptian Al-Azhar University has always been the most authoritative organization to protect the interests of the Muslim community around the world. This opinion was expressed by the Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim, stressing that Al-Azhar University has assumed responsibility for countering terrorism and protection people from this danger.

“We join the Al-Azhar in the fight against terrorism and extremism. Our role is not limited to conviction and suspension from terrorism, but to clarify the combating all forms of extremism and religious fanaticism, which are the causes of terrorism”, he noted.

According to Mufti, a struggle and victory over terrorism are the duties of the religious Administration of Ukrainian Muslims (DUMU).

Akhmed Tamim drew attention to the necessity of training of young people, from first grade until graduation from higher education institutions. Mufti also warned about caution in relation to controversial fatwas (religious decrees), because not everyone can understand them and know their principles. At the end of the conversation Akhmed Tamim expressed gratitude for the strong relationship and cooperation to the Grand Mufti of Egypt Shawki Allam. He pointed that DUMU considers itself as the integral part of the Egyptian Dar al-Ifta (body authorized to issue fatwas).
