Ukraine in Arabic | A ceremonial iftar was held in Poltava
On the occasion of the Muslim holy month of Ramadan an official iftar (breaking fast dinner took place in one the restaurants of Poltava on Tuesday, July 15.
The event was organized by Muslim Community of Poltava. It was attended by more than 200 representatives of various nationalities. The representative of the ministry of religion of Egypt, Muhammad Badr who had read ayats from the Koran, became one of the guests of the event.
Poltava’s children ensemble "Toiba" performed for guests religious hymns.
The Mufti of Ukraine Sheikh Akhmed Tamim wished the Ukraine peace, justice and goodness. The representative of Poltava Regional State Administration, Oleg Pustovgar and head of the Public Council Vladimir Golub congratulated all Muslims with their holiday and thanked them for contribution to the development and strengthening of the Ukrainian society.
Besides head of Ukrainian public organization "The Diaspora of the Chechen people" Danil Goncharov and head of the Congress of Azerbaijanis of the Poltava region Telman Makhmudov also joined the iftar and wished all the people of Ukraine peace, kindness and unity. The event ended with a prayer, during which all participants asked for peace, happiness and goodness for Ukraine.
