As of the end of May this year, the State Border Guard Service has completed the implementation of the Wall project on the border between Ukraine and Russia by 40%. This was reported by the expert organization StateWatch with reference to the information of border guards.

They reminded that the financing of the Wall is carried out according to the budget program "Measures for engineering and technical arrangement of the border" of the State Border Guard Service. This department is under the control of the Ministry of Internal Affairs headed by Arsen Avakov.

This year, the program provides for the allocation of UAH 400 million, of which as of June 1, UAH 53 million was spent.

Note that the project "Wall" is being built since 2015 as a complex of protection against aggression of the Russian Federation. It was planned to be completed in 2018, but the date was postponed to 2021. Then the government talked about the lack of funding and further postponement until 2025.
