All those taking part in the plebiscite leave a fingerprint on the ballot

The long-awaited referendum on the independence of Kurdistan began in the morning of September 25. The media reported that the polling centers opened at 7 am local time.

Despite the fact that some countries and Baghdad expressed threats on holding of votation, people actively participate in determining their own destiny, sometimes they make a big way poll centres.

At the same time, the vote for joining the union from Iraq caused heated debates in the capital of Kurdistan - the city of Kirkuk - where Kurds, Turkmens and Arabs live.

All those taking part in the plebiscite leave a fingerprint on the ballot.
