Ukrainian channel UATV closes the Arabic version

Head said the international broadcaster will stop producing news and satellite broadcasts from Monday

Ukrainian broadcasting channel UATV announced on Monday, January 13, the closure of several versions, including the Arabic. Head said the international broadcaster will stop producing news and satellite broadcasts from Monday. 

They added on the channel that the Ukrainian authorities decided to stop international broadcasting and close the Arab, Crimean Tatar and English-language editions of UATV. The channel was created by the Ministry of Information Policy of Ukraine in 2015. Its goal is to provide a foreign audience with objective, relevant and complete information about events in Ukraine. UATV was available in cable networks all over the world. 

At the beginning of 2020, the new leadership of the channel announced that broadcasting to other countries was being stopped.
