The Head of State laid flowers to the 9/11 Memorial. The President and his wife installed a Ukrainian flag on the Memorial.
Also the presidential couple spoke with a sister and best friend of Ivan Skala, a Ukrainian-born man who died heroically during the 9/11 terrorist attack. Ivan Skala worked as a firefighter in New York and volunteered to save the lives of people on that tragic day.
