Ukraine in Arabic | Palestine does not recognize Luhansk and Donetsk People’s Republics
KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Palestine in Ukraine Mohammed Al-Asaad said that Palestine does not intend to recognize the so-called Luhansk (LNR) and Donetsk People's Republic (DNR).
"We stand for integrity of Ukraine, and we believe that the Donbass was, is and will be a part of Ukraine," – the diplomat stressed.
According to the head of the Palestinian diplomatic mission, for resolving the situation in the Donbass it’s necessary to come to the bargaining table.
“We believe that these are the internal affairs of Ukraine but for our opinion parties need to find some consensus. Basing on our experience of solving problems between Israel and Palestine we believe that the best way is to hold negotiations”, the Ambassador of Palestine said.
On November 2nd, the so-called elections were held in LNR and DNR. The international community has condemned the conducting illegal voting. These "elections" were not recognized neither Ukraine nor the EU nor the US.
Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Pavlo Klimkin said that illegal voting is not recognized by any country in the world, including Russia.
Assistant to the President of the Russian Federation Yuri Ushakov noted that Moscow respects those elections but not recognizes. On the eve, the unrecognized republic of South Ossetia recognized the LNR and DNR and declared its desire to establish diplomatic relations with them.
