Ukraine in Arabic | Jens Stoltenberg : NATO warns that Russia and militants could launch surprise attacks

Jens Stoltenberg, NATO Secretary-General has warned that the Kremlin has massed manpower on Russia-Ukraine border while supplying militants in the Donbas with more weapons and provided them with extensive training, thus giving insurgents an opportunity to engage in sudden attacks.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ According to Stoltenberg, a build-up of Russian air defense systems has also been spotted, Ukraine Today reports.

Accusations of Russia orchestrating the military conflict in Ukraine’s east have been repeatedly denied by the Kremlin, but there is now overwhelming evidence that Moscow not only arms and supplies the militants, but sends its troops to help them.

Russia may also have started the conflict in the first place: according to Russian citizen Igor Girikin, the one-time “defense minister” of the Donetsk People’s Republic militant organization, he and his special operations team were responsible for triggering the armed conflict in the east of Ukraine by taking control of police, government and security service buildings in eastern Ukraine last April.
