Ukraine in Arabic | Arabic expat community in Zaporozhye was with 37th battalion on the day of Epiphany
Zaporozhye/ Ukraine in Arabic/ On the 19 of January in the village Shirokoe, near Zaporozhye, soldiers of 37th armored infantry battalion celebrated Epiphany before going to the East.
On this event were representatives of different social organizations, religious leaders, members of charity fund “Lebedia” and volunteers.
Newly-appointed bishop of Zaporozhye and Miletopol of Ukrainian Orthodox Church of patriarchy in Kiev - Photiy also was there. In his speech he congratulated everyone with great feast and said: “We pray for all of you, for Most High protect you and give you strength… We need peace, not just peace, which others want to impose on us, but we want peace and calmness in our own country”.
Among representatives of Arabic expat were Doctor Hamdani Naufal– head of Arabic centre in Zaporozhye, and with him Arabic volunteer, engineer Luay Buderi. In his speech he said: “ For us it is an honor to be with those, who protect our native land Ukraine, because Ukraine is country that gave us everything… family, work, children. Our main aim is to defend our country”.
Doctor Hamdani in his speech also thanked to everyone and wished to return safely to their families.
It is to be recalled, that Epiphany is a feast of Orthodox Church dedicated to the baptism of Jesus.
