Ukraina in Arabic | The Live Library event in Nikolaev

The visitors of The Live Library communicated with people of different nationalities, cultures, religions and countries.

KYIV/Ukraine in Arabic/ On March 20th, The Live Library event was held at the reading room of Nikolayev National University (NNU). The event was dedicated to International Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination and European Action Week against Racism. It was organized by the Council of National Societies of Nikolaev region, a press service of the International Union reported.

The event was attended by students of various faculties of the university. The representatives of ethnic communities in the region (Azerbaijani, Armenian, Bulgarian, Dagestan, Jewish, German, Korean, Russian and Chechen, Meskhetian Turks and Romas) became a so-called 'live books'.

The event was also attended by the rector of the NNU Valery Budak and the chief specialist of department of culture, nationalities and religions of Nikolaev Regional State Administration Victor Chebatarev.

The visitors of The Live Library communicated with people of different nationalities, cultures, religions and countries.

The Live Library project is an attempt to read a person like a book. It’s aimed on the creation of a dialogue between the different people, who do not have the ability to communicate with each other in everyday life.
