On Friday, February 7, Muslims picketed the office of the State Migration Service of Ukraine on Vladimirskaya Street due to a recent raid of visitors to a Kyiv mosque.

Recall that on January 31, from 12 to 14 hours (during a Friday prayer), employees of the State Migration Service of Ukraine checked the documents of people at the building of the mosque of the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Ukraine “Ummah”. They detained about 25 people with registration problems.

The protesters brought with them the placards “No to police arbitrariness”, “Ukraine is a rule of law?”, “Ukraine is not Russia”, “Show the law where it says to carry a passport”, “HMS, come out, we brought passports”.

The meeting was addressed by the head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people Refat Chubarov and the mufti of the DUMU "Ummah" Said Ismagilov.
