Arab country turned out to be the main buyer of Ukrainian flour
The United Arab Emirates became the main importer of flour from Ukraine following the results of six months.
This is evidenced by the data of analysts of APK-Inform.
The UAE purchased 52.7 thousand tons during this period.
"It is worth noting that shipments of Ukrainian-made wheat flour to the UAE for the first half of the current season exceed purchases for the entire 2018/19 MY and 2017/18 MY - 48 thousand tons and 46 thousand tons, respectively," said APK-Inform analyst "Victoria Rozhko.
In general, 85.9 thousand tons of Ukrainian wheat flour were exported to the Middle East in the first half of 2019/20 MY, the share of the UAE in it was 61%, Palestine with a share of 20% (17.2 thousand tons), the third - Israel, 8% (6.9 thousand tons).
"Thus, according to the results of the first half of 2019/20 MY, the share of the UAE in the total export of wheat flour from Ukraine amounted to 28%, while in July-December 2018/19 MY it was only 7%, and for the same period of 2017/18 MY - 9 %, "added Rozhko.
