Zelensky warned Iran of a possible appeal to the International Court of Justice in the case of a downed plane

Iranian authorities do not fulfill their promises

The Republic of Iran may face litigation in international courts. President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky said that if the Iranian authorities do not fulfill their promises and their obligations regarding the situation with the UIA plane shot down at Tehran in early 2020, Ukraine will appeal to international courts.

“I hope that in the end we can count on a result-oriented Iranian government policy. Because it's not just about not returning the black boxes to us. It’s also about other promises. They have to make an official apology. They have to pay adequate compensation. .. They must do what they promised. Otherwise, we will have no other choice, and they know our position, except to apply to international courts, "he told the Canadian publication The Globe and Mail in a Skype interview.
