Zelensky signed the "anti-crisis" law: whom the state will support
Today, May 27, President Vladimir Zelensky signed the law "On Amending the Tax Code of Ukraine and other laws of Ukraine regarding additional support for taxpayers for the period of measures aimed at preventing the occurrence and spread of coronavirus disease (COVID-19)" (No. 591-IX ), the press service of the head of state.
The document provides assistance to businesses, doctors and citizens for the period of quarantine. In particular:
- exemption by June 30 from personal income tax of 300% surcharge to doctors (but without loss for local budgets);
- the opportunity to receive partial unemployment assistance to individuals entrepreneurs (FLP), for the period of quarantine such assistance is not subject to personal income tax and military duty;
- exemption of individuals from the payment of ERUs until May 31, this period will also be included in the length of service;
- the right of local governments to make a decision to reduce: rates of land payments, real estate taxes;
- the opportunity to extend the moratorium on tax audits, exemption from fines and penalties for late consumer loans;
- non-payment of remuneration to ERU payers, non-application of fines for violation of tax legislation, untimely submission of reports on the payment of ERUs.
In addition, the NBU received the right to establish for individual banks and legal entities a differentiated minimum authorized capital, but not lower than UAH 200 million. The National Bank said they support this decision.
