Zelensky responded to Putin's myth of brotherhood
Vladimir Zelensky criticized Russian President Vladimir Putin's stance on relations between Russia and Ukraine, including another statement that Ukrainians and Russians were allegedly always fraternal peoples, whom he had outlined in an interview with the Russian media.
The President's Office also responded to Putin's geopolitical ambitions - that Russia and Ukraine have a common potential to be "a global competitor for Europe".
- Russian-Ukrainian relations should not be determined by the geopolitical ambitions of individual leaders. These relationships are based on the interaction of people who live, work, create and fight for peace on both sides of the border, ”the Washington Examiner told the Office of the President of Ukraine.
Zelensky also thinks that Putin's statements about the church issue are unfounded:
- In Ukraine, church and state are separated. The recent unification of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine was the decision of the people only, in accordance with the rules of the church and Thomas.
