Zelensky introduced new Cherkasy RSA Head
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky, who is on a working trip to the Cherkasy region, introduced new RSA Head Igor Shevchenko.
"I want to be sure that this person will be decent. Because, you know, all people are decent, and when they become civil servants, things change. But, I am convinced, that this time things will be different," the Head of State said during a meeting with representatives of the public and authorities of the Cherkasy region.
The President also urged the residents of the region to give time to the new Head to understand the problems of the region.
"There are a lot of problems. We cannot solve everything at once ... Please give some time to settle the problems. We all insist on short terms. If something goes wrong we will change (personnel - Ed.). It is fair and honest," Volodymyr Zelensky stressed.
The environmental problems of the Cherkasy region were also discussed in detail during the meeting. In particular, issues of water and air pollution by large enterprises of the region, warehouses with pesticides, which have remained since the Soviet period, and the recycling of waste need urgent solution.
In addition, Head of Cherkasy police Valerii Liutyi reported on the progress of the investigation of the brutal murder of the journalist Vadim Komarov.
"The investigation work is still underway. I realize how complicated this process is. Indeed, we want to find the killers as soon as possible," the President emphasized.
