The People’s Republic of China has transferred 52 units of machinery and equipment worth over 95 million yuan, which is about 318 million hryvnias, to the Ukrainian State Emergency Service.
The parties signed the transfer act on Thursday, December 26, the press service of the Ukrainian Interior Ministry reported.

“I want to thank both the Ambassador and the leadership of the Republic of China. We first met in 2016 when you handed over the first batch of equipment that was very useful to our specialists. Today we have our second joint project, when you are transferring 52 units of equipment worth 95 million yuan. We are updating the whole fleet of rescue equipment and will use all the equipment that comes from China in a systematic manner to modernize our forces,” said Interior Minister Arseniy Avakov.

In turn, Head of the State Emergency Service Mykola Chechotkin expressed his hope for further cooperation.

“I would like to thank the Government of the People's Republic of China and the interior minister for their support for the State Emergency Service. These 52 units of equipment are very necessary for our service. All of it will be used for its intended purpose," Chechotkin said.

Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the People's Republic of China to Ukraine Du Wei said that he is completing his cadence as ambassador to Ukraine and the transfer of equipment is “a good finale”.

“The main mission of my diplomatic service is to promote friendship between our two countries. So today's event is a great opportunity to complete my activities as an ambassador to Ukraine,” said Du Wei.
