Ukrainian President: Monopolization of TV space by people with pro-Russian views is inadmissible
Monopolization of TV space, especially by people with pro-Russian views, is inadmissible during the war. It was stated by President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky in Boryspil on July 10, answering a question about NewsOne TV channel, which recently intended to hold a teleconference with one of the Russian channels.
"During the war, any people who do not have pro-Ukrainian views cannot monopolize the Ukrainian channel. We must deal with this," Volodymyr Zelensky emphasized.
He noted that the given issue would be settled at the legislative level after the election of the new Verkhovna Rada.
“There will be no information monopolies in Ukraine,” the Head of State stressed.
“We will not let people like Mr. Medvedchuk to monopolize our Ukrainian television,” Volodymyr Zelensky added.
