President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky held a phone conversation with President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan.
During the conversation, they discussed preparations for holding a regular meeting of the High-Level Strategic Council in Kyiv co-chaired by the Presidents of Ukraine and Turkey.

The Heads of State noted a common commitment to further enhance cooperation in all areas of mutual interest.
The interlocutors agreed on the importance of intensifying the negotiation process on preparation for the conclusion of the Free Trade Agreement between Ukraine and Turkey.

Volodymyr Zelensky welcomed the participation of Turkish companies in the exhibition "Weapons and Security 2019", noting the importance of cooperation with Turkey in the context of enhancing our country's defense capability.

For his part, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan stressed that Turkey's support for the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine remained unchanged. He also welcomed the steps taken by the President of Ukraine on the peaceful settlement of the situation in Donbas.
