Ukrainian intelligence called a fake version of the SBU's involvement in the detention of "Wagner"
Kirill Budanov, head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ministry of Defense. believes that the Russian side was preparing in advance a fake version of the alleged involvement of the SBU in the detention of "Wagner".
He told Ukrinform about this, commenting on the scandalous situation with the detention in Belarus and the subsequent extradition to Russia of 33 people who turned out to be mercenaries of the Russian private military company Wagner.
"There are enough facts that this is a special operation of the Russian special services. First, dozens of people with experience of fighting in hybrid conflicts in various countries, including Donbass, appeared in the Belarusian capital just before the fateful presidential election," Said Budanov.
Secondly, according to him, only an ignorant person can believe in a fairy tale, as if these "naive" militants could be deceitfully dragged to Minsk. All these so-called "private" military companies operate under the direct control of the Russian security forces and never operate without their permission or coordination. Even if they fulfill "private" orders.
Third, the intelligence chief noted that a very detailed fake version of the SBU's alleged involvement in the appearance of the Wagnerians in Minsk was published by Russian special services in the Russian edition of Komsomolskaya Pravda on August 6. That is, a week after the arrest of militants and public accusations against Russia by the Belarusian authorities of interfering in the internal affairs of Belarus and trying to influence the election results.
