Ukrainian government to support tourism 240 million UAH
The government intends to create a state agency that will promote the tourism potential of Ukraine.
Head of the Ukrainian Hospitality Industry Association Oleksandr Liyev wrote about this on Facebook.
“The government plans to create a central executive body that will oversee the hospitality industry and promote the Ukrainian tourism in the world. This will be a state agency,” Liyev wrote.
According to him, the government envisaged UAH 240 million in the 2020 state budget for the development of the domestic tourism industry. These funds will be aimed at creating tourism infrastructure, promoting Ukrainian tourism products in the world and raising the level of tourism services in Ukraine.
"This will definitely have a positive effect: an increase in the share of tourism GDP by several times, an increase in the profitability of travel-related companies, an increase in domestic and foreign tourist flow etc,” he stressed.
