Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko to meet creditors after latest meeting fails

The meeting with the creditors is scheduled for Thursday, August 13.

Kiev/ Ukraine in Arabic/ The meeting with the creditors is scheduled for Thursday, August 13.

After more than five months of negotiations, the parties have been unable to reach an agreement on the terms of debt restructuring.

Ukrainian Finance Minister Natalie Jaresko, who personally came to San Mateo, California, the United States, to meet with the creditors, described the current round of the negotiations as the "final opportunity to reach a full agreement."

Jaresko referred to time constraints in these negotiations given the approaching deadline for the repayment of Ukraine's $500 million eurobonds on September 23.

As reported earlier, the Ukrainian government warned it could impose a moratorium on foreign debt payments if the eurobond holders did not agree to a principal debt haircut on the terms acceptable to Ukraine.
