Ukrainian champion Lomachenko gets "WBO" Fighter of the Year award

WBA/WBO/WBC lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine (14-1, 10 KOs) has received the 2019 Fighter of the Year award from the World Boxing Organization (WBO).

WBA/WBO/WBC lightweight champion Vasyl Lomachenko of Ukraine (14-1, 10 KOs) has received the 2019 Fighter of the Year award from the World Boxing Organization (WBO).

Lomachenko attended the WBO 32nd Annual Convention in Tokyo, Japan, where he was awarded the honorary prize during the official ceremony, according to Klitschko-brothers.com.


The Ukrainian boxer last fought Briton Luke Campbell on August 31, beating him by unanimous decision. Earlier, in April, Lomachenko knocked out another Briton, Anthony Crolla. The next opponent of the Ukrainian champion is unknown.
