Ukrainian - Arab Business Association Begins first international economic conference in kiev
The first international economic conference "Ukraine and the Arab World - Economic Aspects and Prospects for Cooperation" was held on Thursday, June 20, organized by the Ukrainian-Arab Association for Businessmen and Investors in cooperation with the International Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine and the Chamber of Commerce And the Ukrainian industry.
Prince Turki Al Saud, representatives of the Ukrainian and Arab countries, diplomats, politicians, businessmen and other guests participated in the conference.
The opening of the economic forum with the Ukrainian national anthem and “Mawtani”anthem, which symbolizes the Arab countries.
The conference opened with a speech by Mr.Mohammed Salim Al-Atti, Chairman of Ukrainian-Arab Association for Businessmen and Investors. He expressed his gratitude to the guests, who came specially from Arab countries to participate in the forum. Ukrainian government, general diplomats, Ukrainian businessmen, representatives of the Arab diplomatic corps accredited to Ukraine, and Arab businessmen in Ukraine.
The aim of the association is to create mutual partnerships and investments through tools suited to the spirit of the times and to contribute to the preparation of a platform on which mutually beneficial ties and agreements will be established. In business al-Atti said.The former presidential candidate and leader of the Ukrainian political party “Asunova”, Sergei Taruta delivered speech at the conference, expressing his support for the idea of the conference and wishing his work to be successful, expressed the hope that the major Ukrainian authorities and companies would create an economy Which will attract more investors from Arab countries who feel safe their assets in Ukraine.
Volodymyr Mikhailov general secretary of the International Chamber of Commerce of Ukraine, spoke about the positive and growing influence of non-governmental organizations and institutions working to create links between foreign investors and Ukraine. During the conference, several cooperation agreements were signed between the Ukrainian-Arab Association for businessmen, investors and other institutions, including a cooperation agreement with the economic magazine "Ukraine in Arabic".
The President of the Association was honored by The International “Shield” for the Defense of Citizens' Rights and Freedoms and the Ukrainian Journalists Syndicate honored the President of the Association Mr. Al-Atti.
