Ukraine to change Minsk agreements at next Normandy summit
Ukraine will prepare amendments to the Minsk agreements by the next Normandy format meeting scheduled for March 2020.
Ukraine’s representative in the subgroup on political affairs of the Trilateral Contact Group (TCG) in Minsk, Oleksiy Reznikov, said this live on Hromadske on Wednesday, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.
"We will definitely write these proposals [by the next Normandy format meeting]. They were ready in the president’s initiatives... The tasks agreed by the parties ... can be done before March,” Reznikov said.
The prepared version of the agreements will be discussed with political advisers and foreign ministers of the four countries.
As Ukrinform reported, the Normandy Four summit was held in Paris on December 9. It was attended by the leaders of Ukraine, Russia, France, and Germany.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel supported the idea of adapting the Minsk accords to present-day developments.
